The Bungals are forever

Even Bengal fans are apparently buffoons. The below article doesn’t indicate who the drunk fans were rooting for. But something tells me it wasn’t the Steelers.

Most Bengal fans are probably going heavy on the bottle after the disaster of a season that has unfolded in 2010.

Cincinnati faithful should hope Bengal management drops coach Marvin Lewis Chad Johnson ( I refuse to recognize him as Ocho cinco) and Terrell Owens. Only a complete rebuild will save that franchise.

Ky. couple sues Bengals, stadium over drunk fans

By DAN SEWELL
Associated Press
CINCINNATI (AP) — A woman says two increasingly intoxicated fans at a Cincinnati Bengals game fell on her, breaking her nose, finger and causing other injuries.
The woman and her husband are suing the Bengals, the team’s beer vendor and the county-owned football stadium for alleged negligence for continuing to serve alcohol to the fans.
The Bengals and the vendor declined to comment on the lawsuit. County officials didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment.
Rebecca Dunn and husband Curtis Dunn of Owensboro, Ky., say the fans, identified as John Doe and John Doe II, broke and gashed her nose, broke her finger and caused bruises and sprains.
The injuries occurred during a 2009 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The lawsuit was filed late last month in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court. It seeks unspecified monetary damages for past and future pain and medical treatment.

Bad attitude in the Maple City

The following post was added on dailyamerican.com following an article about Meyersdale Renaissance’s nonexistence.

Perhaps a robust tourism economy is unrealistic. But a safe, friendly town is inexpensive and achievable if the general public buys into the idea first. Enough people with sentiments like the below post are more dangerous to a town than a horde of drug dealers.

” The reason you have to close is not because a lot of non-profits are making cutbacks; you have to close because it was a horrible idea to start with. The town of Meyersdale has not, nor will it ever be, improved.

As it stands right now, Meyersdale is a mess. The parking is messed up, the curbs extend into the streets, and there was so much money wasted on attempts to attract tourism to a town that the residents don’t want to stay in. We should be realistic about Meyersdale. Who wants to come to this town? No one. What does the town offer? Nothing. Does this town have a future? No.

The only accomplishment in Meyersdale has been leveling the sidewalks so the drug addicts and drunks don’t trip. That’s what Meyersdale is known for: Drugs. That’s the reputation of Meyersdale, not a nice, clean, friendly town to raise a family and retire in. Deny these claims if you want, but why did you fail, I mean close? “
